MEET THE CHEF
Emad Alwer has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality and food industry and has held senior management positions as a general manager and vice president with the Sheraton Hotel Garden Grove, Hilton Hotel Fremont and Crowne Plaza San Diego. Previously, he was the General Manager at Ramada Plaza Hotel, Alabama, Red Lion Hotel, Nebraska and many hotel developments in different states. Mr. Alwer successfully positioned the hotels amongst the top luxury properties in their markets, garnering numerous accolades for each. Mr. Alwer has also served as Vice President for Luxury Collections for HMG Hospitality until May 2018. Mr. Alwer obtained his HND degree from Belair college in London, England in 1985 and worked for Mount Charlotte Hotel for 7 years prior to moving to the United States in 1990, starting his first US career with Radisson Hotel, City of Commerce as Front Office Manager and the journey continued with his great accomplishments through his hotel and restaurant passion.
In 2004 he established his family restaurant in Tucson, Arizona “Mediterranean Garden” then after that he opened Parrilla Del Rey, and Casablanca Bar and Grill and sold it in 2008 and moved back to California with his family. Mr. Alwer has been recognized for his leadership accomplishments. In 2016, 2018 and 2019, he was named manager of the year for “HMG Hospitality” he was recognized by different hotel owners and chains for his accomplishments
